The 3-star Rho hotel opened it's doors in April 1989. It is located in a quiet street, just a few steps away from the famous DAM square, in the very center of Amsterdam. The building was once used by an old Amsterdam gold trading company. The beautiful reception and lobby were once a theater, built in 1908 in Art-Deco style. The Central Station is about 5 min. walking distance, shopping and night life is, although it's quiet location, all around the hotel. You find the best department stores, the unique MAGNA PLAZA shopping mall, and the long pedestrian shopping street Kalverstraat at walking distance. Excursions by bus or by boat are leaving from around the corner. Around the hotel are the canals with their historic houses.
